First Aid Instructor Course
Learn to teach bystander emergency care, including the use of medical oxygen!
| The
Basic Life Support Instructor course is a 8 hour program
designed to orient candidates the basics of adult
learning, presentation methods, and classroom dynamics in
order to prepare them to teach bystander first aid use to
non-medical audiences. Candidates will also learn the
basics of teaching the use of emergency oxygen in a
non-medical setting. This course is recommended for those who will eventually go on to teach their own groups bystander emergency care providers. This type of training is generally required of lifeguards, daycare and daycamp workers, and heavy industry employees. Common instructor course participants include ambulance, police, and fire department training officers, long term care staff developers, and other training coordinators. Attendees will receive instructor credentialing through the American Safety & Health Institute. This program's pre-requisite is CPR Instructor from any other national body such as AHA, ARC, NSC, and Medic First Aid. |
