Bloodborne
Pathogens Instructor
Bloodborne illness threatens all who may become
exposed
to blood or certain other body fluids. The Occupational Safety
& Health Administration requires that these employees receive
a yearly training program on preventing bloodborne disease.
The Bloodborne Pathogens Instructor program is a
train-the-trainer
session designed to prepare the participant to comply with OSHA's CFR
1910.1030 - the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. The course
discusses basic Methods of Instruction, the essential elements of the
course, and the administrative requirements of 1910.1030. Participants
are awarded instructorship through the American Safety & Health
Institute and the ability to issue ASHI BBP course completion cards.
